“My wife who was my
only family passed away, and now I am totally alone in the
world. Her death makes me so sad. I decided to wander and paint
because of the sadness. … I wish to travel the corners of Japan
in memory of my beloved wife. When you view this painting, I
hope you can envision me and my wife’s existence.” ‒
