records a podcast in a “combined” class of domestic and
international students at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU).
Two professors at SNHU Audrey Rogers, School of Education, and Lyra Riabov,
Institute for Language Education, have brought their students
together and conducted action research in the development of
multiple models of cultural collaboration serving as a
pedagogical framework for schools and colleges seeking
innovative ways to connect their culturally diverse student
populations.
“I truly enjoyed
being able to spend time with people who are from different
countries. It really helps me gain perspective on the world.”
– SNHU education student, March 2011
“The
combined classes provide a good opportunity to foreign students
to make friends and get to know the American culture. It's very
creative in a way that it can educate both domestic and foreign
students.”
– SNHU international student,
November 2010
